This Burgher grave is situated inside the Mafeking Concentration Camp Cemetery. The Burghers which were reburied here, perished in the Siege of Mafeking. There is 31 names on the memorial stone as well as the inscription “en enkele onbekendes” which means “and few unknown”:

Hierdie is nie die enigste plek waar gesneuwelde Burgers van die beleg van Mafeking begrawe of herbegrawe is nie, die monument in Zeerust bevat ook oorskot van gesneuwelde Burgers sowel as 12 name op die gedenk muur. Daar word aangedui dat 5 persone wat se name op die muur verskyn “elders begrawe” is en die name stem NIE ooreen met hierdie name van die Burger graf in Mafeking nie, wat beteken dat daardie Burgers op ‘n ander plek begrawe is. Hulle is:
This is not the only place where perished Burghers of the siege of Mafeking are buried or reburied, the monument in Zeerust also contains the remains of perished Burghers as well as 12 names on the memorial wall. It is indicated that 5 persons, which names does reflect on the wall is “buried elsewhere”) and does not correspond with the names of the Burgher grave in Mafeking, which means that those Burghers are buried elsewhere.
